Hanoi: Unite to build a green, civilized and happy Minh Chau island commune

HNP - On September 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Minh Chau commune held the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates for the 2025-2030 term. With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the Congress has the task of evaluating the results of the implementation of the Resolution for the 2024-2029 term, building directions, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term. Promoting the spirit of the strength of the great national unity bloc, practicing democracy, innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the quality and effectiveness of the Front's work, contributing to building Minh Chau commune: Green - Civilized - Happy.

The 1st Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Minh Chau Commune, term 2025-2030

In the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Chau commune and its member organizations have made many efforts to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the legitimate and legal interests of members, union members, association members and people, contributing to solving practical problems and complex issues arising in the development process; diversifying forms of activities to focus on the grassroots.

The organization and staff of the Front continue to be consolidated, improved, and the efficiency of its operations improved. The Front and its member organizations have had many positive activities in building and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, participating in Party building and government building. Through action programs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has mobilized people in the whole commune to respond and participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, thereby creating consensus and unity among the people, promoting the people's mastery.

Notably, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has contributed significantly to changing the face of rural areas and improving people's lives. Up to now, Minh Chau has met the standards of a new rural commune and is aiming to build an advanced new rural commune by 2028.

The Presidium of the Congress

Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", the Minh Chau Commune Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized people to contribute hundreds of millions of VND to social security funds. The "For the Poor" Fund and the "Repaying Gratitude" Fund collect tens of millions of VND each year, supporting the repair and construction of 15 solidarity houses, giving breeding cows to poor households to develop the economy , and taking care of policy families. In particular, the Front promptly supports people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, contributing to stabilizing their lives.

Thanks to that cooperation, by the end of 2024, Minh Chau commune had no more poor households; there were only 26 near-poor households, accounting for 1.8%. Cultural life changed positively: Over 95% of families achieved the title of Cultural Family, 2 villages were recognized as Cultural Villages.

The implementation of civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, longevity celebrations, and festivals is increasingly orderly; the cremation rate is higher year after year. 100% of elderly members have their longevity celebrations solemnly and economically. Social security work is guaranteed, 100% of people have health insurance, 100% of children under 1 year old are fully vaccinated.

In the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Chau commune continues to promote the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc, innovate the organization, content and methods of operation of the commune Fatherland Front, promote the role and responsibility of each individual and member organizations in implementing local innovation. Strengthen and expand the great national unity bloc, protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people...

At the same time, actively and proactively participate in the process of comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural and social fields on par with economic development; focus on ensuring social security, sustainable poverty reduction, environmental protection, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Strengthen consensus, promote campaigns and emulation movements; strongly promote all resources, potentials, advantages and creativity of the people in economic development, building and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, affirmed that the results achieved by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Minh Chau Commune in the past term have affirmed its role as the political core, the center for gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; a source of encouragement, motivation and new driving force for the Commune Fatherland Front to be determined to successfully carry out its political tasks in the coming term.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Dung suggested that the Commune Fatherland Front Committee should continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation in accordance with the new organizational model, build a coordination program, unify actions with the principle of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities", become a center of connection, attract, expand members who are typical individuals, contribute to the process of deploying and performing well the tasks of the Fatherland Front, so that the Front is truly a typical image of the great national unity bloc in the area.
