Tourism revenue reaches 73,000 billion after 7 months
The capital Hanoi continues to affirm its tourist attraction with the number of visitors increasing sharply compared to the same period last year.
According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors to Hanoi in the month reached about 2.80 million, an increase of 10.3% compared to July 2024. This is a positive signal showing the sustainable recovery and attractiveness of Hanoi as a destination in the context of the tourism industry accelerating after the pandemic.
Domestic visitors still play a key role with 2.25 million arrivals, up 7.1%. In particular, the number of international visitors reached about 553,190 arrivals, up 25.2%, the highest increase since the beginning of the year, of which 390,000 international visitors stayed.

Tourism revenue in the first 7 months is estimated at 73 trillion VND, up 14.5%, an impressive figure in the context of Hanoi promoting tourism, diversifying products and improving service quality.

Accommodation infrastructure will continue to be strengthened and upgraded in the coming time to prepare for the huge number of visitors expected to flock to Hanoi during the parade celebrating National Day on September 2, one of the major events attracting a large number of people and domestic and international tourists.
The city currently has 3,761 accommodation establishments with more than 71,000 rooms, including 85 hotels and apartment buildings rated from 1 to 5 stars.
Regarding tourist services, Hanoi has 58 establishments recognized as meeting standards, including dining, shopping, entertainment and health care services. These destinations not only serve the needs of visitors but also contribute to enhancing the image of high-quality tourism in the capital.
As of mid-July 2025, Hanoi has 2,080 international travel businesses, 542 domestic travel businesses, and more than 9,100 active tour guides, who are the core personnel in bringing Hanoi's image to the world .
The large system of travel agencies, transportation and tour guides shows that Hanoi not only attracts tourists but also has ready resources, contributing to creating a professional and friendly experience for tourists.
