Hanoi uses digital maps to help students avoid wrong exam scores

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just announced a digital map model that is expected to serve candidates in exams and admissions in Hanoi in the coming time, most recently the high school graduation exam in 2025.

Mr. Nghiem Van Binh, Head of the Examination Management and Quality Control Department ( Hanoi Department of Education and Training) said that the Department has applied information technology to build digital maps and applied it in the recent 10th grade entrance exam, but it is only for the steering committee in managing and organizing the exam.

Accordingly, 201 non-specialized 10th grade exam locations in Hanoi in 2025 are shown in detail on a digital map. “This digital map has an interface that can locate routes and directions to areas on the satellite map. Thereby helping with the coordination, transportation and delivery of exam papers; mobilizing exam invigilators, grading exams and organizing the exam in a safe and scientific manner,” said Mr. Binh.

Mr. Binh said that in the coming time, the Department of Education and Training will coordinate with the Office of the City People's Committee to build a map of exam scores for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam for candidates on the mobile platform to serve the work of looking up, guiding, and capturing information related to the exam. When opening the application, users only need to click on the exam score name, they will be able to look up the address, on-duty phone number, exam room number, candidate name... and get directions.

“The digital map will help candidates easily identify the test site, find the way and move to the correct test site, look up information promptly... From there, it will avoid the case of candidates being confused about the test site location. In each test site, we have a navigation section, integrated with a satellite navigation map to help parents and candidates easily move to the test site,” said Mr. Binh.

The digital map that the Department of Education and Training has been building to serve candidates and parents in the upcoming 2025 high school graduation exam.

On June 7 and 8, nearly 103,000 candidates in Hanoi took the 2025 non-specialized public 10th grade entrance exam with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. Tomorrow, June 9, candidates taking the specialized 10th grade entrance exam will take the specialized subject exam in 150 minutes.
