Tripzilla, Southeast Asia’s leading online travel site, suggests the region’s five safest destinations for women traveling alone. The capital city of Hanoi, Vietnam’s sole representative, is mentioned first.

Traveling is easier than ever, says the Singapore -based travel magazine, but the world remains a dangerous place for women. In recent years, it has become increasingly risky for Asian women to travel alone. Therefore, destinations on the list must have received many "safe" reviews from tourists, have low crime rates and incidents of violence, and have friendly locals.

Hanoi is considered "a safe place for tourists", crime and violence against tourists are "very rare" and most locals are kind. Experts from Tripzilla suggest that visitors should spend time exploring Hanoi, as it has "countless attractions".

Some of them are St. Joseph Cathedral (Cathedral of the Great Church), Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Ngoc Son Temple located on Hoan Kiem Lake. After finishing the trip, stop at a cafe in the city to relax and enjoy this famous Vietnamese drink.

Hanoi is also considered a "budget-friendly" destination. Tourists do not need to worry about the cost if traveling alone. Luxury hotel rooms cost about 3.5 million VND, meals cost about 250,000 VND a day.

"Feel free to pamper yourself while staying in this beautiful city. It's one of the best places to travel solo in Southeast Asia, especially for women," Tripzilla commented.

The remaining four names on the list are Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Yogyakarta (a city on Java island, Indonesia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
