The official document was issued in accordance with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Official Dispatch No. 3550 and urgent directives from the Hanoi People's Committee to promptly respond to natural disasters and minimize damage caused by storms and floods.
Accordingly, units such as the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, the Management Board of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi Scenic Spots, Hoa Lo Prison, and the People's Committees of communes and wards are required to implement a number of solutions simultaneously. These include emphasizing the inspection of the power supply system in the historical site area; developing plans to protect valuable artifacts and documents; and especially temporarily suspending visitor access to historical sites during flood warning periods.
For dilapidated historical sites, especially those severely degraded and at risk of collapse, located near rivers or lakes, measures to prevent natural disasters and flooding are necessary.
For historical sites that are being dismantled or are under construction, effective protective measures are needed to prevent damage from storms and floods, ensuring safety throughout the restoration and preservation period.
In addition, environmental sanitation, security, and fire prevention at historical sites have been strictly enforced. Authorities have been mobilized and are on standby, coordinating closely with local governments in relocating artifacts and addressing the aftermath of the storm.
