The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced the results of the quality assessment of hospitals in the area in 2025. Accordingly, Binh Dan Hospital achieved the highest score among public hospitals.
Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City is the leading private hospital and ranked 3rd in the entire hospital system in Ho Chi Minh City.
Specifically, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Health conducted quality inspections at 124 hospitals and medical centers (excluding hospitals of ministries, branches and newly established facilities under 12 months).

The top 10 hospitals with the highest quality scores include: Binh Dan Hospital (964 points), Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Tam Anh Hospital, City Children's Hospital, Hung Vuong Hospital, Children's Hospital 1, People's Hospital 115, Thu Duc City Hospital (old), Tropical Diseases Hospital and Oncology Hospital.
Regarding the hospital quality assessment results, Ho Chi Minh City recorded that only 54/165 facilities had an average hospital quality score of 4.0 points or higher on a 5-point scale. Tam Anh General Hospital is one of the top 3 hospitals in terms of quality assessment results in 2024, and Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, is the top private hospital with the best quality, with a hospital quality score of 4.74 points.
Specifically, in terms of satisfaction survey with outpatients and inpatients, Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City achieved an absolute satisfaction score of 5 points, with medical staff achieving 4.85 points. At Tam Anh General Hospital in Hanoi , the patient satisfaction rate reached 99.5%, and medical staff achieved 100%.
In Hanoi, in the list of 10 hospitals with the highest quality rating announced by the Hanoi Department of Health, Tam Anh General Hospital topped the entire ranking, surpassing a series of prestigious public facilities such as Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Thanh Nhan Hospital, Xanh Pon Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Duc Giang Hospital and Ha Dong Hospital.
The highlight of this year's inspection is that the Department of Health of the two cities simultaneously applied two sets of criteria for assessing hospital quality, including: the set of criteria for Vietnamese hospital quality (including 83 criteria) and the set of basic hospital quality criteria according to Circular No. 35/2023/TT-BYT, officially effective from January 1, 2025.
The assessment contents focus on 6 groups: actual operation situation of the hospital; professional quality according to the set of criteria; survey of satisfaction of patients and medical staff; ability to implement instructions of the Ministry and Department of Health; level of technology application; and feedback on documents serving management work.
As a result, Tam Anh General Hospital in Hanoi scored 968/1,000 points, ranking highest in the entire hospital system in the capital. Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City scored 962.57/1,000 points, leading the private sector and ranking 3rd in the city.
