Meanwhile, in recent years, Ninh Thuan province (old) has focused significant resources on accelerating the construction and completion of the transport infrastructure system to create momentum for economic development, strengthen connectivity between localities in the province and inter-regional routes. In 2024 - 2025, the province has focused on implementing 4 key transport projects invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. Notably, the Project of the Road connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport. The project is 23km long, with a total investment of about 689 billion VND. Currently, the province is coordinating with the Ministry of Construction to speed up the implementation of expressway projects in the province along the North-South and East-West axes. From now until 2030, the province will focus on investing in and completing the transport network in the province according to the new Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and national sectoral planning on roads, railways, airways, seaports, and inland waterways, creating a complete, synchronous, and modern transport network, capable of conveniently connecting modes of transport, enhancing connections with neighboring localities and major economic centers, creating momentum for socio-economic development. Important "launch pad" for Khanh Hoa to take off

According to the leader of the Department of Construction, after the merger, Khanh Hoa province will have Cam Ranh International Airport and Thanh Son Airport. With 2 airports, Khanh Hoa province will have more options to develop air transport, enhancing connections with other provinces and cities in the country and internationally. The synchronous investment in the North-South expressway will help facilitate traffic connections between localities in the province, between the province and the region and the whole country. The North-South railway running through Khanh Hoa is 149.2km long, playing an important role in transporting passengers and goods. In the period of 2025 - 2030, the province is expected to coordinate to implement investment in key projects such as: Nha Trang - Da Lat expressway; North-South high-speed railway; upgrading and expanding Cam Ranh International Airport; calling for investment in Van Phong Airport; Upgrading and expanding seaports according to planning... This is an important premise to promote economic development, increase trade of goods and services. In the near future, Khanh Hoa will become one of the important trading centers of the country thanks to the synchronous development of roads, railways, waterways and airways, especially with a system of seaports, airports and highways that are invested synchronously and modernly.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that after merging the two provinces, Khanh Hoa owns the longest coastline in the country (nearly 500km) and the longest National Highway 1 in the country (215km). The merger of the two provinces has opened up a lot of room for developing transport infrastructure, especially strategic corridors and seaports. With its available potential, the province is continuing to invest tens of thousands of billions of VND in key transport projects, expected to be completed in the period of 2026 - 2027. For many years, the province has identified transport infrastructure development as one of the important breakthroughs to promote economic development. Synchronous investment in transport infrastructure is likened to a magnet that strongly attracts non-budgetary investment into the locality. Key transport infrastructure projects not only help connect trade but also create favorable conditions to attract strategic investors. With strong investment in transport infrastructure, the province expects to create an important launching pad for Khanh Hoa to take off, realizing the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030, becoming a driving force for development of the region and the whole country.
