The Union of Friendship Organizations of Kien Giang Province and Habitat Vietnam have just coordinated with the Provincial Farmers’ Association and the People’s Committee of Kien Luong District (Kien Giang) to organize a handover ceremony of 15 houses under the Project “Decent housing, peaceful life”. The program aims to support families with housing difficulties in Binh An Commune, Kien Luong District.
The 15 houses handed over have an area of 30 to 35 square meters each, worth from 75 to 100 million VND. Of which, Habitat Vietnam supported nearly 50 million VND for each house, Kien Luong District People's Committee contributed 20 million VND for each house, the rest was contributed by the households themselves. The spacious and clean houses were completed in time before the New Year of At Ty 2025, bringing joy and hope to the households.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Do Tran Thinh, Chairman of the Farmers’ Association of Kien Giang province, congratulated the families who received the houses. He said that handing over the houses before Tet helps the families have conditions to welcome the new year more fully and properly.
Mr. Le Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Luong District, expressed his gratitude to the organizations and sponsors who have accompanied the locality, helping to better care for families in difficult circumstances. He also asked the families to preserve the house for long-term use, contributing to improving the quality of life.
On behalf of the households receiving the houses, Mr. To Van Tron (Binh Dong Hamlet, Binh An Commune, Kien Luong District) expressed his gratitude to the organizations and local authorities. He said that the new, spacious and clean houses will give people more motivation to strive to improve their lives, especially to welcome the new year of At Ty 2025 with much joy and happiness.
