Established during the fierce years of the war against America to save the country, Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Hadiphar) has gone through a 65-year journey full of effort and pride, becoming a pharmaceutical brand with a modern production system and a nationwide distribution network. That journey is also the aspiration for sustainable development, associated with the mission of serving community health.
SOWING SEEDS FROM DIFFICULTIES, STANDING STEADY IN CHALLENGES
The history of Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Hadiphar) began on August 3, 1960, when Ha Tinh State Pharmaceutical Enterprise was established - marking the first milestone for the pharmaceutical industry in the province. In the context that the main source of medicine was oriental medicine, prescribed by traditional medicine practitioners, while modern medicine had just begun to appear in a few grocery stores, the establishment of a drug production and supply facility was an urgent step, meeting the health care needs of the people.
In 1965, Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Enterprise was established. Operating in fierce war conditions, the unit not only supplied drugs on the spot but also had to directly serve the front line. After 1976, Nghe An and Ha Tinh merged, the pharmaceutical industries of the two provinces were merged into Nghe Tinh Pharmaceutical Union Enterprise. The enterprise in Ha Tinh was called Pharmaceutical Enterprise II, operating as an important link in the drug distribution system of the entire North.
After the province was re-established in 1991, the unit returned to the name of Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Union Enterprise; then changed to Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Company in 1996 - opening a new development stage, gradually approaching the modern business model.
Having worked with Hadiphar for 20 years (1998-2008), Mr. Tran Thai Son - former Deputy Technical Director of Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Company still remembers clearly the memories of the days when he and the company's staff overcame difficulties and challenges.
“At that time, the whole factory only had 2 tablet presses, 1 vacuum machine and some equipment, autoclaves, and coating pots for the production and packaging of drugs. However, we always completed the assigned plans excellently, and even had initiatives in production that many pharmaceutical companies across the country could not do. Thanks to that, the company became a typical unit of the pharmaceutical industry nationwide.”
The achievements and spirit of overcoming difficulties during this "pivotal" period have become a solid foundation for businesses to continue to innovate their organizational model, expand their market and prepare for a new turning point - Mr. Son shared.
SHINE FROM INNER STRENGTH, REACH THE LEVEL WITH PRESTIGE
In 2005, the company transformed into a joint stock company with the name Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. This was not only a turning point in the operating model but also opened up a modern management mindset, leading Hadiphar into an era of professional and sustainable development.
From here, the company focuses on synchronous investment in facilities, building a pharmaceutical factory with many modern production lines according to international standards GMP-WHO for the factory, GLP for the testing room, GSP for the warehouse, and a distribution system that meets GDP. The quality management system is also standardized according to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2016.
Hadiphar always focuses on scientific research, formula improvement, and new product development. Products such as: Fastcort, Hadiclacin, Lung-clearing lozenges, TK3 pain relief, Berberine, Magnolia officinalis or White Magnolia officinalis - HT... have become familiar in many Vietnamese family medicine cabinets.
Hadiphar products are increasingly familiar to Vietnamese consumers.
Many Hadiphar products are present in the treatment list of provincial and central hospitals. These are clear evidences of product quality and brand reputation.
Hadiphar's development lies not only in technology and products but also in a strong market system. With 16 branches, hundreds of agents and more than 30,000 pharmacies from North to South, the company has established a widespread distribution network, covering the brand to every region. In particular, the export of some products to Laos and Cambodia shows Hadiphar's strategic move in its journey to reach the regional level.
Although it does not consider itself a “giant” in the pharmaceutical industry, what Hadiphar has built has become a model of perseverance, dedication and professionalism. Noble awards such as the First Class Labor Medal; the title of Vietnamese Medicine Star, Vietnam Golden Star… are a source of pride, the crystallization of a development philosophy that focuses on people, takes quality as a measure and takes reputation as a business motto.
