Grandmother and grandchild were killed by a container truck

According to initial information, at around 11am, a container with license plate 76H-011.26 towing a trailer with license plate 76R-005.62 was traveling on an inter-commune road from Bu Gia Map district to Ho Chi Minh City.

When the car reached the road section in Dac Son 1 village, Phu Nghia commune, it collided with a motorbike with license plate 67D1-042.82 driven by a grandmother and her grandchild traveling in the opposite direction.

The strong collision killed two people on the spot. The grandmother was about 80 years old, and the boy was 14 years old. The victim’s motorbike was crushed.

After the collision, the container truck veered to the opposite side of the road, then flipped over on the side of the road, causing severe damage.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.
