Many events and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day

The 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector’s Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025), and the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2), will take place on August 23 at the Opera House (Hanoi). In addition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize many attractive events and activities to promote the glorious tradition of the sector.

The celebration is expected to be attended by about 500 delegates. The event is solemnly organized, spreading a spirit of pride, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party, and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also carried out many propaganda activities to clarify the role of culture in the revolutionary cause, from the "Outline on Vietnamese Culture" in 1943 to the Party's resolutions and directives during the renovation period. Propaganda work will be carried out in the press, digital platforms, social networks, through publications, literary and artistic works, media events and online contests applying artificial intelligence.

On this occasion, many activities to spread good models, typical examples of advanced culture, information, sports and tourism, associated with the patriotic emulation movement and the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style were also widely deployed. Towards the important anniversary, the whole industry has recently organized many emulation campaigns, propaganda activities, forums, seminars and meetings with generations of cadres.

In particular, on the evening of August 23, at the Hanoi Opera House, a special art program will take place to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day, with the theme "80 years of glory and pride - Culture accompanies the nation".

The program consists of 2 parts: Culture accompanies the nation and 80 years - Imprint of Vietnamese culture. The program brings together many special performances such as "The torch lights the way", " Dien Bien Victory", "The country is full of joy", "Great unity - Vietnam's strength"...

To carefully prepare for this series of events, on August 20, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to review the organization of anniversaries and major events of the Ministry on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day is an important event, an occasion for gratitude of the Cultural Sector. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung requested that the assigned units review the workload, focus all human resources of the sector to complete it well, avoid mistakes, bring about truly meaningful programs, leaving an impression.
