Hanoi: 56 people have their assets and income verified in 2025

On the afternoon of October 27, the Hanoi City Inspectorate held a conference to randomly select people to have their assets and income verified in 2025.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Committee; representatives of departments, branches and units selected to verify assets and income in 2025.

The conference drew 56 people from 19 agencies and units to verify assets and income.

According to Deputy Chief Inspector of Hanoi City Nguyen Trong Hoa, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity is one of the key, continuous tasks, holding an important position in the work of Party building and the political system, and has been directed to be implemented resolutely and synchronously by the General Secretary, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

In particular, the declaration, control and verification of assets and income of people with positions and powers is an important task, included in 6 basic groups of measures to prevent corruption.

After the draw, the City Inspectorate will send a written notice of the draw results to each verified agency and unit and carry out the income and asset verification process according to the provisions of law.

Asset and income verification activities will be conducted with the correct authority, with the correct subjects, and in the correct order as prescribed by law; without infringing on the property rights of the person being verified.

Based on the verification results, the Hanoi City Inspectorate will recommend competent agencies and individuals to handle the act of declaring assets and income dishonestly, and explain the origin of assets and dishonestly increased income, if any.
