Co.opmart Buon Ma Thuot Supermarket (Buon Ma Thuot Ward) is trading in 5 product groups, in which the group of technological food and fresh food is strictly controlled through criteria of raw materials, input food, export and import records of each shipment. The supermarket also always prioritizes high-quality domestic products, ensuring food safety. Mr. Bui Quang Hoa, Director of this unit, said that after fully implementing the processes and control stages related to food, if the product meets the requirements and has full legal documents, it will be put on the supermarket shelves. In recent years, strict control of food quality has helped eliminate products that are not safe enough for consumers' health.
According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade on the results of food safety inspection during the recent Mid-Autumn Festival, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 2 chaired by the Department of Industry and Trade inspected 6 establishments in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Tan An ward and Quang Phu commune. As a result, 6 establishments met the requirements on general conditions to ensure food safety. Previously, the Department of Industry and Trade also established a post-inspection team on food safety and alcohol under the management of the industry. The team inspected and found that 7 establishments basically met the requirements on food safety conditions, accounting for 100%. The establishments also fully met the food safety conditions according to current regulations such as: Facilities and equipment were invested and renovated to meet the requirements; production and processing processes were carried out in accordance with standards and regulations on food safety; people directly producing and trading food were trained in knowledge and had regular health check-ups; legal documents and procedures were fully implemented. However, at the time of inspection, some small production and business establishments had not fully stored self-declared records of raw materials and additives; health certificates of the establishment owners and direct business employees did not contain full information as prescribed.

According to the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade, the inspection teams chaired by the Department have requested the People's Committees and the Food Safety Steering Committees of wards and communes to proactively coordinate with relevant sectors and units to strengthen food safety management for food production and trading establishments and markets in the area; inspect, monitor, and take samples for testing of instant products and products requiring preservation conditions; strengthen guidance, propaganda, and dissemination of legal regulations related to food production and trading activities for organizations and individuals. At the same time, it is requested that establishments continue to maintain food safety conditions at production and trading locations, keep records of the origin and source of food ingredients and other documents related to the entire production and trading process according to regulations.
