Experience Saigon's street food .
During their trip to Ho Chi Minh City, two British tourists, Danny and Diggy, had a memorable culinary experience at a street-side grilled pork vermicelli stall. The dish left a deep impression on them, leading them to exclaim that it was "the best thing I've ever eaten in Ho Chi Minh City" and expressing their desire to return for another taste.

Their destination was a long-standing eatery on Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Ben Thanh Ward, a place recommended by a close friend who is a chef. Both were delighted with the authentic local atmosphere, sitting on plastic chairs placed right on the sidewalk, a characteristic culinary feature of the city.
The captivating flavor of a 70,000 VND bowl of vermicelli.
Danny and Diggy ordered two full servings of grilled pork vermicelli with spring rolls. Each serving includes fresh vermicelli, fragrant grilled pork, crispy spring rolls, fresh vegetables, pickles, and peanut and scallion oil. All of this is combined with a sweet and sour fish sauce made according to a special recipe.

Danny commented that the spring rolls were piping hot, with a crispy shell and a rich, flavorful filling. The grilled pork was tender, juicy, flavorful, and had a distinctive smoky aroma from the charcoal grill. "I could eat more grilled pork and would want to try it again next time because it's really delicious," he shared.
Diggy also agreed and repeatedly praised the harmonious combination of ingredients. She particularly loved the fresh vegetables served alongside, such as cucumber and lettuce, which helped balance the flavors. "The spring rolls were delicious, the wrapper was so crispy. I really enjoyed this dish, the feeling is indescribable," she said, asserting that it was the best dish she had ever tasted in the city.

The secret to building a 20-year brand.
According to Ms. Vo Thi Thu Van, the owner, the secret lies in the recipe that embodies the authentic flavors of the Mekong Delta. The restaurant has been operating for about 20 years, consistently maintaining quality from ingredient selection to preparation methods.
The grilled pork is made from fresh pork loin, marinated with spices and grilled twice over hot charcoal to maintain its tenderness and juiciness. The spring rolls are also a highlight, with a filling of crab meat and taro, creating a rich and distinctive flavor. Especially noteworthy is the dipping sauce, which is thick, harmoniously balanced with sweet and sour flavors, and fragrant with the aroma of crispy pickled shallots.
