
On October 26, in Tra Leng commune , prolonged heavy rains caused rivers and streams to rise, causing serious landslides on many roads, completely isolating traffic from the outside. Many areas had cracks and slides, posing a potential risk of burying houses. Faced with this situation, Tra Leng commune police coordinated with local authorities to urgently evacuate nearly 200 people in village 1, mainly the elderly, women and children, to the commune police headquarters as a temporary shelter.
In the middle of the night, in the pouring cold rain, officers and soldiers of Tra Leng Commune Police together lit a fire, cooked hot pots of instant noodles to serve the people taking shelter. This warm action touched many people.

In Hai Van ward, due to the complicated developments of floods and the Nam My dam releasing floodwaters, the risk of flooding, landslides, and local isolation of low-lying areas became present. The ward police force coordinated with relevant authorities to promptly evacuate assets and more than 50 households to safe shelters. At the same time, the ward police were also on duty 24/7 in vulnerable areas with high risk of flooding, in order to promptly respond and support people.
On the morning of October 27, Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tu, Deputy Chief of Hai Van Ward Police, informed that heavy rain caused a landslide on DT601 road in Ta Lang group, followed by a landslide on the adjacent La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway. In response to this situation, officers and soldiers of Hai Van Ward Police set up barricades, put up warning ropes, and prevented people from crossing DT601 road; at the same time, coordinated with functional forces to regulate and guide traffic on La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway.

Due to prolonged heavy rain, on the evening of October 26 and the morning of October 27, many traffic routes and residential areas in the communes of Lanh Ngoc, Nong Son, Thuong Duc, Thang Phu, Son Cam Ha, etc. were partially flooded, posing a serious risk of insecurity. In this situation, the police of the communes actively coordinated with local authorities and the military to assist people in evacuating to high, safe areas. In addition, police officers and soldiers also set up barriers, put up warning ropes at deeply flooded areas, cleared fallen trees and guided people to move to safe areas.

Heavy rains continued to occur over a wide area. On the morning of October 27, in the communes of Vu Gia, Thu Bon, Thuong Duc, Go Noi, Duy Xuyen ..., floodwaters continued to rise, causing local flooding on many roads. The police forces of the communes urgently organized rescue, assisted people in moving and bringing their belongings to safety. At the same time, ropes were put up, warning signs were put up and they were on standby at landslide-prone areas, ready to respond to the complicated developments of the floods.
In coordination with the police of communes and wards, the Traffic Police Department also mobilized officers and soldiers with life jackets and specialized machinery to promptly arrive at landslide areas and flooded roads to regulate traffic, support and help people.
