
On October 26th, in Tra Leng commune , heavy and prolonged rainfall caused river and stream levels to rise, resulting in serious landslides on many roads, completely isolating traffic from the outside world. Many areas showed cracks and long stretches of landslides, posing a potential risk of burying houses. In response, the Tra Leng commune police, in coordination with local authorities, urgently evacuated nearly 200 residents from Hamlet 1, mainly the elderly, women, and children, to the commune police station for temporary shelter.
In the dead of night, amidst a cold, pouring rain, police officers and soldiers from Tra Leng commune gathered to light a fire and cook steaming pots of instant noodles to serve the villagers seeking shelter. This heartwarming act touched many hearts.

In Hai Van ward, due to the complex developments of heavy rain and flooding, and the release of water from the Nam My dam, the risk of inundation, landslides, and localized isolation of low-lying areas has become imminent. The ward's police force, in coordination with relevant agencies, promptly relocated property and more than 50 households to safe shelters. Simultaneously, the ward's police are on duty 24/7 in vulnerable areas at high risk of flooding to respond promptly and provide assistance to residents.
On the morning of October 27th, Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Tu, Deputy Head of Hai Van Ward Police, reported that heavy rain had caused landslides on Provincial Road 601 in Ta Lang Hamlet, triggering landslides on the adjacent La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway. In response, Hai Van Ward Police officers and soldiers erected barricades and warning tapes to prevent people from crossing Provincial Road 601; they also coordinated with other functional forces to regulate and guide traffic on the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway.

Due to prolonged heavy rain, on the evening of October 26th and the morning of October 27th, many roads and residential areas in the communes of Lãnh Ngọc, Nông Sơn, Thượng Đức, Thăng Phú, Sơn Cẩm Hà , etc., were partially flooded, posing a serious safety risk. In response, the commune police actively coordinated with local authorities and the military to assist residents in relocating to higher, safer areas. In addition, police officers erected barricades and warning signs at deeply flooded areas, cleared fallen trees, and guided people to safe locations.

Heavy rains continue across a wide area. On the morning of October 27th, in the communes of Vu Gia, Thu Bon, Thuong Duc, Go Noi, Duy Xuyen , etc., floodwaters continued to rise, causing localized flooding on many roads. Police forces in these communes promptly organized rescue efforts, assisting residents in relocating and moving their belongings to safe areas. Simultaneously, they cordoned off areas with warning signs and stationed personnel at risk of landslides, ready to respond to the complex developments of the floods.
In coordination with the police in communes and wards, the Traffic Police Department also mobilized officers and soldiers along with life jackets and specialized equipment to promptly arrive at landslide areas and flooded roads to regulate traffic and provide support and assistance to the people.
