Two police colonels were awarded certificates of merit and recommended for medals.

On December 7, the Ministry of Public Security informed that, based on Article 45 of Decree No. 91/2017/ND-CP dated July 31, 2017 of the Government regulating general procedures for commendation proposals, the Ministry organized to collect public opinions on the proposal to award the Third Class Military Exploit Medal to Colonel Bui Chien Thang - Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police.

In September 2022, Colonel Bui Chien Thang was proposed to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. At this time, the Ministry of Public Security also organized a public consultation on the consideration of rewards for collectives and individuals with achievements in ensuring security and order at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31).

Colonel Bui Chien Thang was appointed Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police in early 2021. Previously, he was Deputy Director of Bac Giang Provincial Police.

Also last week, Quang Nam Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in their work. Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Public Security.

Authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Duc Dung - Party Secretary, Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police - awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Public Security to Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "For National Security" in the period of 2021 - 2022.

The Provincial Police Department also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to 9 collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "For National Security" in the period of 2021 - 2022; the recruitment of Investigators in the People's Public Security in 2023; the selection of citizens to perform their duty to join the People's Public Security in 2023; and a preliminary review of the implementation of Project No. 8550, dated October 1, 2020 of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment and training of the reserve combat mobile police unit.

On this occasion, 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Police Director for their outstanding achievements in the preliminary review of the implementation of Project No. 8550 dated October 1, 2020 of the Minister of Public Security.
