Samsung's two latest smartphone models were launched tonight

At the Galaxy Unpacked event held tonight (July 10) in France, Samsung launched the new Galaxy duo, the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Both models are equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips, supporting operating system and security updates for 7 years.

According to the introduction, the durability of the device is improved thanks to the new hinge design and materials, along with IP48 water resistance.

The Z Fold 6 has a 6.3-inch outer screen, slightly larger than previous versions. The inner screen remains the same size at 7.6 inches. The device is lighter than the previous generation, only 239 grams. The main camera is 50MP, telephoto 10MP and ultra-wide angle 12MP, promising better low-light photography.

Meanwhile, the Z Flip 6 still retains a 3.4-inch secondary screen, smaller than its rival Motorola Razr Plus.

New software features include smart message reply suggestions, interactive mini UI options, and interactive wallpapers.

The Flip 6 features a larger 4,000mAh battery and a vapor chamber for cooling. It also has a 50MP main camera and a new ultra-wide camera. 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage are standard on the base model.

Both devices support full artificial intelligence (AI) features like the Galaxy S24 series. In particular, the Z Fold 6's large screen is optimized for AI features. The new "sketch to image" feature allows converting drawings into images using AI.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 comes in a total of 5 colors, including Metal Gray, Rose Pink, Navy Blue, Crafted Black and Classic White. Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes in 4 colors including Metal Gray, Mint Green, Solar Gold and Maya Blue.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are available for pre-order starting at $1,899 and $1,099, respectively. Samsung is also launching a new Z Assurance program that offers free screen protector replacements and discounts on screen replacements. Both devices will officially hit shelves on July 24.

In Vietnam, the prices of these two phone models were also announced at an event organized by Samsung Vietnam in parallel with the launch in France. Accordingly, the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with 256GB - 1TB capacity ranges from 43.99 - 54.99 million VND. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 with 256 - 512GB capacity is priced at 28.99 - 32.99 million VND.
