At 5:00 p.m. on June 12, the authorities of Thu Duc City (HCMC) were still investigating the scene of a serious traffic accident at the My Thuy roundabout intersection in Thanh My Loi ward that killed a mother and her child.

Initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, a 38-year-old woman (from An Giang ) drove a motorbike with license plate number 66L-481.18 carrying her daughter (13 years old) on Vo Chi Cong Street in the direction from District 7 to Thu Duc City.

When reaching My Thuy roundabout, there was a collision with a container truck with license plate 79C-141.08 driven by Pham Minh Hiep, traveling in the same direction.

The collision caused the motorbike to fall onto the road, the mother and child were caught under the container truck, dying on the spot.

Thu Duc City Police and Cat Lai Traffic Police Team were present to regulate traffic and examine the scene.

It is known that the woman and her husband are from An Giang, working as factory workers and living in a rented house in Ho Chi Minh City. Today, the couple returned to their hometown to pick up their two children and take them to Ho Chi Minh City to play. The mother drove her daughter, and the father drove his 10-year-old son. When they got there, the mother and daughter's motorbikes had a tragic accident.
