Club World Cup winners Chelsea have been linked with Isak after Mail Sport's Craig Hope revealed he was keen on a new opportunity, but the Blues are happy with their current squad of Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson and Joao Pedro.
Manager Enzo Maresca plans to rotate his squad next season to manage the workload after a long campaign and Chelsea are unhappy with links to players they have not actively pursued. Instead, Chelsea have focused on signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Jorrel Hato from Ajax, while also accelerating their player sales.
MU and Chelsea do not buy Isak.
Striker Jackson will stay at Stamford Bridge unless a convincing offer arrives before the transfer window closes. Chelsea value him at £100m.
Jackson has also been linked with Manchester United, but he is ready to challenge Delap and Joao Pedro for a place, after both new signings impressed at the Club World Cup in the US.
United have also ruled out Isak and other expensive options such as Jackson and Benjamin Sesko. At £150m for the Swedish striker, United cannot compete with the likes of Liverpool after spending more than £130m on Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer.
Jackson is also out of United's budget, with Chelsea valuing him at £80-100m, despite a possible swap deal for Alejandro Garnacho. Garnacho has been told to find a new club by manager Ruben Amorim and is training separately at Carrington.
Sesko is worth around £60m after Arsenal opted for Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, but sources say he is still too expensive for United. Ollie Watkins was considered, but Aston Villa insist he is not for sale and is out of United's budget.
