Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) and Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) have just signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement to implement the policy of promoting the pioneering and leading role of state-owned enterprises in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
According to the agreement, the two groups will strengthen cooperation, effectively utilize each other's production capacity, technology and market, thereby forming a sustainable industrial value chain in the fields of mineral exploitation and chemicals.
The scope of cooperation covers all areas of strength, from mining, processing and distribution of coal, alumina, basic chemical products, fertilizers, to design consulting, logistics, research and application of new technologies in industrial production.
In particular, Vinacomin commits to prioritize the use of products and services provided by Vinachem, including basic chemicals, technical consulting services, consumer products such as detergents, batteries, tires, and at the same time coordinates to promote and popularize the VinachemMart e-commerce application to employees.
In contrast, Vinachem will prioritize the use of coal mined domestically by Vinacomin, imported blended coal and other types of imported coal, as well as technical services, tunnel excavation consultancy and logistics.
The two sides also agreed to coordinate in studying investment cooperation opportunities and capital contributions in areas such as mineral exploitation and chemical production, while focusing on developing high-quality human resources, protecting the environment and complying with green standards in production activities.
Vinachem Chairman Phung Quang Hiep affirmed that he will accompany Vinacomin in many fields, promoting the spirit of coordination and sharing to put many projects into effective operation, exceeding design capacity, improving product quality, expanding cooperation and sustainable development.
Vinacomin Chairman Ngo Hoang Ngan expects Vinachem to research and develop a specialized tire product line, applying modern technology and artificial intelligence, suitable for the specific operations of the coal industry, contributing to improving management efficiency and equipment safety.
Currently, Vinacomin is the largest coal supplier in Vietnam, while Vinachem has a widespread chemical - fertilizer industry system, using coal and minerals as input materials.
Therefore, the close connection between the two corporations will help stabilize the raw material and fuel supply chain, ensuring production efficiency of both the coal - mineral industry and the chemical and fertilizer industry.
