Many universities open registration portals based on high school transcripts and IELTS from May 15

From 9:00 a.m. on May 15, Hanoi University of Science and Technology officially opened the registration portal for talent recruitment in 2025 and authentication and conversion of foreign language certificates.

Accordingly, the talent selection method of Hanoi University of Science and Technology includes 3 aspects:

Firstly, direct admission of candidates with high achievements in national or international exams and competitions according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

To participate in the selection process, candidates must win third prize or higher in the national excellent student selection exam, the national excellent student selection exam for international and regional Olympic competitions, the national (ViSEF) or international (ICEF) science and technology competition.

Candidates can register up to 3 wishes. Admission fee is 200,000 VND.

Second, admission based on international certificates. Candidates participating in the admission must have an average score of 8.0 or higher in each year of grades 10, 11, and 12 and have one of the following international certificates: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB.

In this category, candidates can register for admission to 65 majors/training programs, with no limit on the number of wishes. The registration fee is 300,000 VND.

Third, admission is based on competency profile combined with interview. Candidates participating in the admission must have an average score of 8.0 or higher in each year of grades 10, 11, and 12 and have one of the following conditions:

- Won an encouragement prize or higher in the exam to select excellent students in the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, foreign languages, and combinations during high school, organized and granted certificates of achievement by the Departments of Education and Training, Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hue University, Hanoi University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Vinh University, and Viet Bac High School for Ethnic Minorities.

- Win third prize or higher in science and technology competitions organized by the Department of Education and Training or the Ministry of Education and Training to be selected to participate in ViSEF and ISEF.

- Selected to participate in the Road to Olympia contest organized by Vietnam Television from the monthly round and above.

- Is a specialized student (including math, physics, chemistry, biology, IT, foreign languages).

In this category, candidates can register for admission to 65 majors/training programs, with no limit on the number of wishes. The registration fee is 500,000 VND.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology accepts registration information for talent selection from May 15 to June 5.

* Also this morning, the University of Commerce opened the portal to receive applications for direct admission and priority admission; registered admission methods for candidates with evidence of excellent student awards, foreign language certificates, HSA competency assessment test results, and TSA thinking assessment.

This year, the school will consider a combination of foreign language certificates/international testing certificates combined with math transcript scores and the remaining subjects in the non-foreign language group of candidates graduating from high school in 2025.

The registration portal is open from now until June 30. Candidates with 1 admission method pay 50,000 VND/application; candidates with more than 1 admission method pay 100,000 VND/application; candidates with direct admission and priority admission pay 100,000 VND/application.

Universities note that the admission registration process is a two-step process. In addition to the registration step on the school's admission portal, it is expected that from July 16 to July 28, candidates will have to confirm their admission or register their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission portal.
