The total amount of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is up to 151 billion VND, accounting for 4.03% of the plan to collect social insurance premiums assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance in 2023 (the rate of late payment premiums assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance is 4.06%). Of which, the total amount of late payment with interest is 117 billion VND, accounting for 3.13% of the plan to collect social insurance premiums assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance.

According to Thua Thien - Hue Social Insurance, some businesses have been slow to pay social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for a long time with very large amounts of money, directly affecting the rights of employees.

To collect and reduce debts, in the coming time, Thua Thien - Hue Social Insurance will strengthen inspections of units with signs of violating the law in the fields of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and at the same time thoroughly implement measures to handle violations, enforce decisions on administrative sanctions against violating units; coordinate with police agencies, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to conduct inter-sectoral inspections in the fields of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance, etc.
