On the morning of November 25, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh had a working session with the Department of Education and Training on overcoming the consequences of floods and preparing conditions for students to return to school safely.

According to the report of Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, as of November 24, 727/796 schools in the province had organized normal teaching; the remaining 69 schools continued to let students stay home to clean up and overcome the consequences after the flood. Some educational facilities that suffered heavy damage include: Hoa Phuong Kindergarten, Dien An Kindergarten, Dien Khanh Town Kindergarten, Dien An Primary School (Dien An Commune, Dien Khanh District); Vinh Trung Primary School, Vinh Thanh Primary School, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School, Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Tay Nha Trang Ward); Vinh Phuong 1 Primary School, Vinh Phuong 2 Primary School, Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School (North Nha Trang Ward); and high schools such as Ha Huy Tap, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hoang Hoa Tham...
According to statistics, the entire Education and Training sector of Khanh Hoa province has 162 educational establishments affected by floods. Hundreds of thousands of books, learning tools and many facilities were damaged and swept away, with total estimated damage of over 84 billion VND.
In the face of the above situation, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training proposed that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention and direct departments, branches and sectors to coordinate and support the education sector in cleaning and repairing schools, preventing epidemics, and ensuring school safety. At the same time, they requested the Department of Finance to allocate funds for localities and educational institutions to promptly repair and restore facilities and purchase equipment for teaching and learning.

At the meeting, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that the Politburo has directed Ho Chi Minh City to directly support Khanh Hoa province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, with priority given to the education sector. Currently, one of the biggest difficulties is that students lack books, school supplies and uniforms. Faced with this reality, the provincial leaders have agreed to temporarily not require uniform uniforms to reduce the financial burden on parents.
Along with that, the province has allocated emergency support funds of 1-2 billion VND to each locality, depending on the level of damage; at the same time, it has supported each student with 650,000 VND to buy books and essential learning materials.
According to the representative of the Department of Finance, the province will issue guidelines on the mechanism and budget arrangement for repairing school facilities, prioritizing disbursement for severely damaged schools to speed up the repair process and ensure safe conditions for students to return to school soon.
