According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism , during the 3-day Tet holiday (from February 8 to 10, from December 29, the year of the Cat to the first day of the Lunar New Year), Hanoi welcomed 187,000 visitors, an increase of 17.4% over the same period last year.
In particular, international tourists grew strongly, more than double that of the same period in 2023 with 39,000 arrivals. Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that tourism activities in the capital during the Lunar New Year were basically safe and joyful, without street vendors, beggars, or tourist solicitations. "The Department's inspection team has inspected a number of tourist destinations, including the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple area and around Hoan Kiem Lake... In the coming time, the Department will strengthen this work," said Ms. Dang Huong Giang.
