Taking place within the framework of the announcement ceremony is the Workshop “High-quality Vietnamese goods and opportunities to rise in the green economy”, bringing together speakers who are officials, leading experts and pioneering businesses in green transformation and sustainable development.

At the workshop, managers, experts and businesses presented papers and discussed issues towards a green economy and sustainable development.

According to Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry Vo Tan Thanh, moving towards green development at this time can be said to be timely, extremely important and necessary for the future development of Vietnamese goods themselves, the economy as well as the economic integration process of our country.

To kick off the “year of green action”, the new direction set is “green growth - green economy - circular economy” based on “standardization - digitalization - commercialization”.

The reason is that the whole world is currently moving very quickly towards green development, especially in the post-COVID-19 context and with major fluctuations in the global market. This is to call on businesses to clearly define their mission and vision and realize it by exploiting the entire life cycle of raw materials, forming new value chains and increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese products.
