Free summer school
Although it is summer vacation, Tu Tam Primary School (Ninh Phuoc Commune) is still bustling with the sound of studying. Since the beginning of July, this school has been holding free classes for students from grades 1 to 5, taught directly by members and volunteers of the YOUTH Club.

Nguyen Hoang Minh Tien - a 4th grade student at Tu Tam Primary School, who participated in the summer review and consolidation of knowledge, said: "On mornings when I have classes, my relatives take me to school to review the subjects: Math, Vietnamese and English. I find summer classes very fun. The teachers are easy to understand and fun. I really like going to school."
After 2 summers of free teaching, Tran Kim Thy - 11th grade Literature student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Dong Hai, member of YOUTH Club feels very happy with this meaningful job. "Through the summer teaching sessions, I see that the students are open and cheerful. This year, I am in charge of reviewing Vietnamese for 3rd grade students preparing for 4th grade. Spending summer time to support students to study better makes me happy and proud because I can help others. Through summer teaching activities and other activities of the Club, I have gained new knowledge, equipped myself with life skills, soft skills, made many new friends and had more fun" - Kim Thy expressed.
For Pham Dinh Bach - a 10th grade Math - English student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Dong Hai, a collaborator of the YOUTH Club, teaching students during the summer also brings a lot of joy. "For me, this is an interesting experience, and also a way to help me understand more about the teaching profession so that I can realize my dream of becoming a Math teacher in the future" - Dinh Bach shared.
It is known that, up to now, YOUTH Club has been operating for 8 years and has organized free teaching for 8 summers in localities in the southern region of the province. The Club has 30 official members, including 28 students from Le Quy Don - Dong Hai High School for the Gifted and 2 students from Nguyen Trai High School (Phan Rang Ward). This summer, through the connection and introduction of Tu Tam Primary School, the Club opened 6 free classes from July 1 to August 15, every morning from Monday to Friday for nearly 100 students from grades 1 to 5. In addition to the official members, the Club recruited 10 more collaborators to carry out summer teaching activities well. The members and collaborators of the Club organized games to help students be excited about studying and practice more skills when going to class.

According to the President of YOUTH Club Tran Nhu Cat Tuong - 11th grade Literature student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Dong Hai: "Most of the students who come to review classes during the summer are of average academic ability. Each class will have 3 sessions/week, from 7:30 am to 10 am. Club members and collaborators, depending on their abilities and strengths, will take turns to review classes for free in the subjects: Math, Vietnamese and English, helping students consolidate their knowledge and make faster progress in their studies. In addition to reviewing knowledge, from July 23 to 30, the Club will organize activities to collect scrap paper, old books, notebooks, and cardboard at April 16 Park (Phan Rang Ward) to raise funds and give school supplies to students when the summer course is concluded".

Not only providing free summer classes, in recent years, YOUTH Club has also organized many volunteer activities to help people in difficult circumstances. For example, on International Children's Day June 1, the Club organized to give away school supplies to many students in difficult circumstances. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Club members traveled all over the streets of Phan Rang ward to give away 30 gifts to lottery ticket sellers and homeless people; gave away 50 gifts including cakes, candies, milk and school supplies to students in difficult circumstances at Suoi Gieng Primary School (Cong Hai commune)... In the past 3 years alone, YOUTH has maintained organizing trips to Quang Son School for the Disabled (Ninh Son commune) to give gifts, chat, play, share, connect and spread love, contributing to stimulating the spiritual development of children with disabilities.

Over 8 years of operation, YOUTH has organized many practical and meaningful activities, not only contributing to helping those in difficult circumstances, but also creating a healthy playground, creating an environment for students to experience, connect with friends, practice soft skills..., spreading the beautiful image of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Dong Hai. In addition to the support budget of the school's Youth Union, YOUTH also organizes fundraising sales activities; always open and transparent about finances. YOUTH also receives the love and support of many teachers at other schools, and parents in organizing volunteer activities" - Ms. Phan Thi Bich Huong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Dong Hai assessed.
