In the first 8 months of 2025, production activities in Quang Ngai province continued to develop and recorded many positive signals. Most of the first-level industries maintained a good growth rate, of which: the mining industry increased sharply, up 121.62% thanks to the demand for construction materials for key infrastructure projects; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 11.4% with the contribution of 02 products accounting for a large proportion in the industrial structure: petrochemical products (up 25.8%) thanks to the stable operation of Dung Quat Oil Refinery; steel products (up 24.8%) thanks to the project 2 of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company which has come into operation, producing commercial HRC products.

Other products such as leather shoes, yarn, wood chips and paper materials also achieved high growth; garment products, milk of all kinds, and mineral water maintained stable growth. The electricity production and distribution industry increased by more than 10% and this is also a strong industry of the province, continuing to contribute significantly to the state budget. Therefore, the industrial production index in the first 8 months of 2025 increased by nearly 12% over the same period last year.
