(Dan Tri) - Kylian Mbappe has returned to training with Real Madrid after 9 days of treatment for acute gastritis, but fans have discovered that the French player's demeanor and physique are no longer the same as before.

In a video posted by Real Madrid's official account on June 24, Mbappe returned to training, but this still did not really make fans feel more secure.

The 2018 World Cup champion appeared in a lethargic, lifeless appearance. He looked thinner, his beard and hair had grown long, completely different from the image before he fell ill. Many fans could not believe their eyes and commented under the video: “He looks like a different person, much thinner and weak.”

Another lamented: “Gastritis is really dangerous. I don’t think Mbappe will recover in time to be able to play in the next match.”

Real Madrid are currently top of Group H, but to secure their place in the next round, they need to avoid defeat against Salzburg in their final group match on June 27.

If they lose, Los Blancos' fate will depend on the result of Al Hilal's match against Pachuca. As long as Al Hilal do not win, coach Xabi Alonso's team will still advance to the knockout stage.

Mbappe has been a key figure in Real Madrid's squad, scoring 43 goals in 56 appearances in the 2024-25 season. His absence has had a major impact on the team's attacking prowess in the first two matches of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
