Coach Huy Hoang resigns from SLNA

Coach Nguyen Huy Hoang decided to resign from leading SLNA Club from round 11 of V-League 2023 and was agreed by the leadership of the Nghe An team.

After the meeting on the morning of June 3, Coach Nguyen Huy Hoang asked to withdraw from the position of Head Coach of SLNA Club. Coach Nguyen Huy Hoang's wish was approved by the Club's Board of Directors.

The person sitting in the "hot seat" to replace coach Huy Hoang is coach Phan Nhu Thuat. The former SLNA player shared: "In the past time, coach Nguyen Huy Hoang and the SLNA coaching staff have tried their best. I would like to thank the Board of Directors for trusting and assigning the task. My colleagues and I will try our best to complete the task."

After receiving the new assignment, Coach Phan Nhu Thuat proposed assistants including: Pham Van Quyen, Pham Duc Anh and 2 coaches Dinh Van Dung, Coach Pham Anh Tuan who are currently on the payroll of SLNA Youth Training Center.

Coach Huy Hoang was appointed from the beginning of the 2022 season. In his first time leading in the V-League, the former Vietnamese player helped SLNA achieve 5th place in the rankings.

In V-League 2023, SLNA went through a series of 10 matches with only 1 win, 6 draws and 3 losses, temporarily ranking 11th on the rankings. The 0-3 loss to CAHN in round 10 was the last straw, forcing the SLNA Club's Board of Directors to change the captain's seat.
