On the first day of July, the weather was sweltering hot, inside the construction site of the Nui Nai Martyrs Cemetery renovation project (Thanh Sen ward), the construction pace was still urgent and thorough as if racing against time. According to the striving progress, in about 5-7 days, the project must be completed and handed over in time to serve the work of commemorating and paying tribute to heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
Mr. Pham Quoc Anh - construction site manager (Tan Hai Son Construction Joint Stock Company) said: "The project to renovate Nui Nai Martyrs' Cemetery was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh City for a feasibility study report in January 2024; adjusted in September 2024; and started construction in late October 2024. With 20 items to be implemented, from the beginning of the project, a lot of pressure was identified, both in terms of construction volume and implementation time.
However, with the significance of the project, we have focused all our efforts, arranged scientific construction methods in a "rolling" manner, completed each item to hand over the site to subcontractors to carry out the next tasks. On rainy days, we took advantage of working indoors, on sunny days, we built additional tents to protect the workers from the sun with the determination to exceed the set schedule."

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Nui Nai is currently the resting place of about 1,300 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans to save the country. The Martyrs' Cemetery of Nui Nai is also a spiritual work associated with history and culture located in the Nui Nai Historical Relic Complex. However, over time, the cemetery grounds have deteriorated.
The project to renovate and embellish the entire area of Nui Nai Martyrs Cemetery ensures uniformity and solemnity in order to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland. It is not only a work of gratitude but also a symbol of the responsibility, affection and care of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Ha Tinh for those who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland, thereby contributingto educating the next generation on the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking".

The project has a total investment of 44,186 billion VND, including demolition and construction of new main gate, surrounding fence; existing yard and road; houses, bridges in the lake; drainage system and other technical infrastructure items; expansion of the existing campus...
Project to build new items: left and right backstage walls; middle backstage wall; ceremony house; yard system, internal roads; garden lighting system; upgrading and renovating the memorial; lake; sidewalk system, parking lot...

At this point, the project has completed about 98% of the volume. The construction unit, HT Joint Venture (Tan Hai Son Construction Joint Stock Company and Thanh Linh Construction and Trading Company Limited) is urgently completing the final parts of the construction items; Ha Tinh Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company mobilizes workers to complete the green tree items, striving to hand over for use in about 5-7 days, exceeding the original planned time.
Mr. Truong Quang Cong - a worker at Ha Tinh Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company said: "Currently, we are focusing on checking and adjusting the green tree system and grass along the graves, watering and taking care of them... The weather in the past few days has been very hot, but we are still very happy and tireless because we know that every effort we make will contribute to helping the project complete early, ensuring quality and aesthetics, as well as showing gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who died for the homeland."

Mr. Phan Van Quang (Thanh Sen ward) said: “My father sacrificed in the locality and was brought to Nui Nai Martyrs Cemetery in 1972. This year, when I visited my father's grave and saw the cemetery grounds were clean, solemn, and the scenery was peaceful, I felt very warm.
Thank you to the government for doing this great deed, showing care, responsibility and the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" towards those who sacrificed for the Fatherland.
