MU lost 0-1 to Everton in round 12 of the Premier League in the early morning of November 25. Despite having one more player from the 13th minute, the "Red Devils" showed a lack of ideas, speed and were almost powerless to penetrate Everton's defense.

The shock defeat to Everton at Old Trafford not only ended Manchester United's five-match unbeaten run under Ruben Amorim, but also marked a dark historical milestone for the "Red Devils". This was the first time in history that an away team won at Old Trafford when they had been sent off, with only 10 players on the pitch. According to The Guardian , before this match, MU had won 36 and drawn 10 of their 46 Premier League home games since their opponents were sent off.

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye's sending off after just 13 minutes seemed to open the door for United to win. But despite being pushed, Everton remained solid and took advantage of a rare opportunity in the 29th minute, when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall beat goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

This goal not only finished off MU but also brought the first victory for coach David Moyes at Old Trafford as a visiting coach (after 18 previous failures).

Before this match, Old Trafford was considered an "impregnable fortress" for MU when the opponent had to play with one less player. But everything has changed now.

This was only Everton's second win at Old Trafford since 1992 (a 1-0 win in 2013 under Roberto Martinez). With just 10 men, they wrote a new page in history.
