Coach Park Hang Seo leaves open the possibility of leading the Thai team

The last time, on October 17, Coach Park Hang Seo watched the match between Vietnam and South Korea live at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. He went down to shake hands with Coach Troussier and his former students.

At a meeting with Vietnamese fans earlier this year, Mr. Park Hang Seo revealed that he would consider accepting an invitation to lead a Southeast Asian football team. However, he rated this possibility very low because he always considered Vietnam as his second home.

Coach Park Hang Seo is the greatest coach in the history of the Vietnam national team and Vietnamese football. He helped the national team win the AFF Cup 2018, reach the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup 2019 and especially reach the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.

Together with Coach Park Hang Seo, the Vietnamese team achieved the goal of entering the top 100 FIFA (which he set himself when he took office). In 55 matches with the Vietnamese team, Coach Park Hang Seo won 26, drew 15 and lost 14.

Besides, he helped U23 Vietnam win the runner-up position at U23 Asia 2018, semi-final of ASIAD 18, and won the SEA Games gold medal twice (2019 and 2022).
