Moc Chau plum blossoms bloom early, garden owner welcomes over 500 visitors every day

(Dan Tri) - The early blooming of plum blossoms in Moc Chau creates a majestic mountain and forest landscape. Many tourists from Hanoi have traveled hundreds of kilometers to Moc Chau to admire and take photos of the plum gardens.

After only 3 hours of travel, Han Thuong (Ha Dong, Hanoi) arrived at Moc Chau Farm town ( Son La ). After a break, the young girl and her friend went to some plum gardens in the central area but were disappointed to see no early plum blossoms. "The garden owner said the plums would bloom in January," Thuong said.

However, the young girl did not give up and went online to search for information about the early blooming plum blossoms in Moc Chau. Thuong and her friend connected with a local tour guide who took them to a plum garden in Tan Lap commune (Moc Chau). The Hanoi girl was overwhelmed with joy when she was able to touch the beautiful, small white flowers without having to wait until January of the following year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet (owner of a plum garden in Na Ka plum valley, Pa Khen sub-area, Moc Chau Farm town) said that the main season plum flowers usually start blooming in late January and early February.

However, in recent years, when the trend of taking photos in flower gardens appeared, the owners of many plum gardens in Moc Chau changed the way they cared for the flowers to bloom earlier. "Depending on each batch and the care of each garden owner, the plum flowers bloom early or on time," said Ms. Tuyet.

According to Ms. Tuyet, this year, the early plum blossoms began to appear in mid-October. Na Ka plum valley is one of the two valleys with the largest plum growing area in Moc Chau district. Many garden owners have therefore let the flowers bloom early to attract tourists from all over to come and sightsee, take photos and camp.

Up to this point, many plum gardens are still at their peak. The small white flowers on the old plum branches create a beauty imbued with the mountains and forests. Ms. Tuyet said that her family's garden has 1,500 plum trees ranging in age from 7 to 30 years. To allow visitors to pose comfortably, she has prepared additional chairs, swings and some accessories. Every day, hundreds of visitors come to Ms. Tuyet's plum garden to take photos. On weekends, the number of visitors reaches over 500 people.

According to records, other plum gardens in this valley also have a similar bustling atmosphere. The entrance fee to photograph early plum blossoms ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 VND/person. Mr. Hoang Hai, a local photographer, said that each plum garden will be beautiful for about 2-3 weeks. In addition to the plum gardens that bloom early from mid-October, there are new plum gardens that bloom in early December.

Coming to Moc Chau at this time, in addition to visiting famous attractions such as heart-shaped tea hills, rose gardens, strawberry gardens, Tau Cave... tourists can also "hunt" for beautiful photos in the early-blooming plum blossom gardens without having to wait until January or February of the following year.
