Complete the review of electronic medical records.

This morning (July 31st), Nam Can General Hospital held a conference to evaluate electronic medical records, assessing the implementation results and checking the extent to which it meets the criteria stipulated by the Ministry of Health, as a basis for recognizing the application of electronic medical records at the unit.

Attending the conference were Dr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Health; Mr. Lam Thanh Thep, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ca Mau Provincial Department of Science and Technology; and Dr. To Van Mung, Director of Nam Can General Hospital.

Leaders from the Department of Health and the Department of Science and Technology surveyed the medical examination process at Nam Can General Hospital.

Here, Nam Can General Hospital presented a detailed report on the electronic medical record management system in accordance with Circulars No. 54/2017/TT-BYT and 13/2025/TT-BYT; and demonstrated the practical implementation in several departments.

The evaluation council directly surveyed and assessed the technological infrastructure, software operations, data entry and storage processes, and application processes in the management of medical examination and treatment. The inspection revealed that Nam Can General Hospital fully meets the criteria and is qualified to use and store electronic medical records instead of paper medical records, as guided by the Ministry of Health .

With a 100% approval rate, Nam Can General Hospital officially became the fourth unit in Ca Mau province to complete the assessment of electronic medical records.

The inspection team conducted an on-site review of healthcare services for the local population.

The implementation of electronic medical records not only assists doctors and nurses in recording and monitoring patient records more conveniently, but also improves management efficiency, shortens processing time, calculates hospital fees accurately and transparently, and most importantly, provides better service to patients.
