Attending the event were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; members of the Party Central Committee: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - Deputy Minister of National Defense , Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Head of the General Staff, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders of central ministries, departments and branches.
On the side of Hanoi leaders, there were members of the Party Central Committee: Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and leaders of localities.
The live-fire combat drill with the theme "The infantry regiment is reinforced with technical weapons to attack the enemy on temporary defense". The live-fire combat drill took place simultaneously at the following locations: TB1 Shooting Range (Luc Ngan District, Bac Giang Province), Hoa Thach Shooting Range (Hoa Thach Commune, Quoc Oai District), Dong Doi Shooting Range (Van Hoa Commune, Ba Vi District), Xuan Bang Shooting Range (Bac Son Commune, Soc Son District).
The actual military exercise took place in 3 phases, with the coordination of troops and branches with many forms of combat, using many types of weapons, equipment, and modern techniques manufactured, improved, and produced by the Army; using information technology applications, transmitting live images during the exercise.
Speaking after the end of the live-fire combat drill, General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense praised and acknowledged the efforts of the forces participating in the drill, completing the task well. The forces, military services, and especially the actions of the infantry on the battlefield were well coordinated, demonstrating good training; the combat shooting practice process ensured absolute safety on all training grounds.
Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang affirmed that Hanoi had a very successful exercise. Congratulating the results achieved, the Minister of National Defense requested that after the exercise, agencies and units should draw lessons, organize a summary of awards, and pay special attention to checking weapons and equipment systems; return to the unit to continue checking the technical condition, and properly preserve and maintain weapons and equipment, ensuring absolute safety.
