This is the comment of Professor, Dr. Thanh Han Binh, Director of the Vietnam Research Center at Zhejiang University of Industry (China) when interviewed by VNA reporters in Beijing.

According to Professor Thanh Han Binh, in recent years, Vietnam-China relations have developed healthily, with the goal of “6 more” deeply ingrained in the hearts of the people. In the context of many changes in the world , the strategic cooperation between the two neighboring countries is a testament to the commitment to maintaining multilateralism and globalization, working towards common interests.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit to Vietnam is of great significance in shaping the direction of development of relations between the two countries in the coming time, in the context of the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

As two socialist countries, China and Vietnam need to unite, cooperate for mutual benefit, and contribute to peace and stability in the Asia- Pacific region.

Scholar Thanh Han Binh believes that the Vietnam-China relationship will become increasingly stable and the “6 mores” will continue to be strengthened. Accordingly, the economies of the two countries are highly complementary, helping to exploit the potential for cooperation, expand the space of common interests, and bring practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

Amidst international uncertainty, the two countries continue to promote globalization, playing a greater role in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the ASEAN-China free trade area.

In addition, he also emphasized that as two socialist countries, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in Party building work, contributing to the global socialist movement, and affirmed that this visit by General Secretary Xi Jinping will bring Vietnam-China relations to a new height, contributing to regional peace and stability.
