After completing a short-term bartending training course organized by the local authorities, Ms. Le Thi Diem My's beverage shop, located in Phu Hoa II hamlet, has seen significant improvements. Previously, she prepared drinks based on experience, resulting in inconsistent quality. Now, all steps are carried out more systematically. Ms. My shared: “During the course, I received specific guidance on the recipes and measurements for each type of drink, so the quality is always consistent. As a result, more customers come to the shop than before. Furthermore, with clear recipes, the staff can also prepare drinks when I'm busy.”

Not only Ms. My, but many rural workers have found stable jobs right in their local area after completing vocational training. Thanks to participating in the industrial sewing vocational training course organized by the commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thuy, residing in Thanh Nhon hamlet, has been working as a factory worker at a garment company in Binh Hoa Industrial Park for nearly 3 years, earning 6-8 million VND per month. “Having a stable job has made life less difficult for my family than before. I no longer have to work for an unstable income. Working near home also makes it easier to take care of my family,” Ms. Thuy confided.
Recognizing vocational training and job creation for rural workers as crucial solutions for sustainable poverty reduction, Binh Hoa commune is promoting career guidance and education through various appropriate methods. Training focuses on occupations serving agricultural production, traditional crafts, and those meeting the practical needs of businesses. Through these vocational training courses, workers not only improve their skills but also gradually access scientific and technological advancements, confidently switch to different crops and livestock, enhance production efficiency, and improve their family's living standards.
According to Nguyen Viet Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Hoa commune, after implementing the two-tiered local government model, the commune conducted a survey of people's vocational training needs and simultaneously assessed the recruitment needs of businesses and production and trading establishments in the area to develop a suitable training plan. From July 1, 2025 to the present, the commune has organized two vocational training classes for 63 trainees; introduced jobs to 1,200 workers, including 901 working within the province, 298 working outside the province, and 4 cases of labor export to Japan and South Korea.
One of the effective approaches adopted by the locality is linking vocational training with the actual recruitment needs of businesses, especially in the Binh Hoa Industrial Park and the Binh Hoa mosquito net and blanket making village. This approach helps workers find jobs immediately after training, and businesses proactively secure a suitable workforce. Mr. Nguyen Viet Thanh added: "The link between vocational training and job placement benefits businesses, workers, and the locality. When people have stable jobs right in their hometown, they feel secure and committed to working there long-term."
Many local production facilities are also creating stable jobs for rural workers. From a small-scale family business, the Nguyen Thang mosquito net and blanket production facility in Phu Hoa II hamlet has now become one of the largest production facilities in the Binh Hoa mosquito net and blanket making village. Currently, the facility provides regular employment for more than 20 workers with incomes ranging from 6 to 9 million VND per month; approximately 70 workers receive garment manufacturing orders to do at home, with an average income of 4 to 8 million VND per month.
Having been involved in this profession for over 10 years, Mr. and Mrs. Vo Phuc Quoc, residing in Phu Hoa I hamlet, specialize in cutting mosquito net fabric for garment makers. The work requires skill and coordinated teamwork. "It looks simple, but cutting a mosquito net to the correct size requires great care, from measuring and sizing to cutting each piece of fabric evenly and straight," Mr. Quoc shared. Taking advantage of their free time, people take on garment manufacturing jobs at home to supplement their income. Ms. Pham Thi Bao, residing in Phu Hoa II hamlet, said: "I do garment manufacturing at home, earning about 120,000 - 150,000 VND per day. This job requires meticulousness; the stitching must be beautiful for the business owner to regularly order from me."
Recognizing that vocational training and job placement are crucial foundations for ensuring social security and sustainable development, Binh Hoa commune will continue to implement comprehensive policies to support vocational training, focusing on improving the quality of training in line with the actual needs of businesses. The locality will replicate effective vocational training models, contributing to increased income and improved living standards for rural residents.
