From classrooms and squares to parks and spaces steeped in local cultural identity, images of groups of students in uniforms, traditional Vietnamese dresses (áo dài), suits, or graduation gowns are becoming increasingly common. In the early summer sunshine, amidst the lively laughter and chatter, each captured image is not simply a photograph, but also a cherished memory of innocent and pure school days.
For graduating students, the yearbook is also a special occasion to look back on their journey. Photo shoots often last for hours, even a whole day, but that doesn't make them feel tired. On the contrary, it's a precious time to have fun, chat, and bond with friends before moving on to a new school.

Many students say that, even though they are used to taking photos with their phones every day, yearbooks still hold a very different value. They represent meticulousness, collective emotion, and serve as a milestone marking an important stage in their lives.
In recent years, taking graduation photos has become a familiar activity in schools at all levels. It's not limited to high schools or vocational schools; this activity has also expanded to middle schools and elementary schools. Many parents actively support it, seeing it as an opportunity for their children to create memorable memories.
Ha Minh Anh, a student at Nguyen Du Primary School in Lao Cai Ward, said: "I am very happy to have my graduation photos taken with my classmates, because these photos will preserve many beautiful memories of myself with my teachers and friends at primary school."
Ms. Dang Thi Hong Nhung, a parent from Lao Cai ward, shared: “Taking yearbook photos is an important milestone in our children's journey to adulthood. Later, when they grow up, every time they look back at those photos, they will remember a carefree and innocent time with their teachers and friends. I also hope and wish that the graduating students will confidently enter the upcoming exams, achieve good results, and continue to pursue their dreams.”

Beyond simple photos, yearbooks today are much more elaborately produced. Many classes create photo shoot scenarios, choose themed outfits, prepare props, and seek out locations with special meaning. From gentle, youthful school-themed styles to bold and creative concepts, all reflect the dynamism of today's generation of students.
Along with the increased demand, graduation photo services in Lao Cai province are also entering their peak season. According to observations, the peak period lasts from March to the end of April each year.
For elementary school students, the primary format for photoshoots is still class-based studio shoots, which are simple and age-appropriate. Meanwhile, high school students usually have more options regarding concepts and locations.
More than just souvenir photos, yearbooks are likened to a "visual diary," capturing the most beautiful moments of school life. These include carefree smiles, intimate handshakes, and lingering glances before parting ways.

Many teachers also believe that this activity helps students become more connected to the group, creating beautiful memories before entering a new phase of their lives.
However, alongside the positive aspects, schools also advise students to organize yearbook photos appropriately, avoiding waste and not just focusing on appearances. The choice of attire and location should ensure safety and preserve the innocent image of students.
