At 9:00 AM on May 29th, examination centers disseminated the exam regulations to candidates and announced the list of exam participants for them to check and report any errors; the regulations were disseminated before the official exam day.

Despite feeling anxious, most candidates said they tried to maintain a calm state of mind in the final days before the exam.
Despite the lingering pressure ahead of the 10th grade entrance exam, many candidates said they made an effort to maintain a stable mindset in the final days. Tran Van Thang, a 9th-grade student from Tu Lien Secondary School, shared that he registered Hoang Cau High School as his first choice, Hoan Kiem High School as his second choice, and Dong Da High School as his third choice. Over the past week, Tran Van Thang has mainly focused on reviewing basic knowledge, closely following the revision content guided by his teachers in class to strengthen his foundation.

According to Ms. Le Thuy Quynh, Deputy Head of the examination center and Deputy Principal of Nguyen Truong To Secondary School, this year's examination center has 37 official examination rooms, 2 reserve rooms, and 1 waiting room, with a total of 828 registered candidates. Among them, there is one candidate taking the French exam and four candidates taking the Japanese exam.
To facilitate the exam, the examination center has fully prepared the necessary facilities such as air conditioning, fans, and lighting systems; and has arranged a designated area for candidates' belongings at least 25 meters away from the examination rooms, in accordance with regulations. Each floor has separate male and female restrooms. The examination center has also prepared separate bins for mobile phones and a designated area for invigilators' belongings to ensure the seriousness and safety of the exam.
"The school has its own transformer station and backup generator, so even during hot weather or power outages, the fans and lights are guaranteed to operate stably," Ms. Quynh said.
According to Ms. Le Thuy Quynh, this year's exam organization has several new features, including regulations allowing candidates to register for the exam at any testing location within the city, instead of being limited to their household registration or place of residence as before. Notably, this is also the testing location for Hoang Cau High School - a school that has recently been converted into a public school.
To minimize traffic congestion during the exam period, the ward's exam steering committee coordinated traffic flow management early on, organizing entrances at Alley 5, Lang Ha Street and exits at Alley 82, Nguyen Phuc Lai Street. Youth security forces were stationed along the roads surrounding the school to guide and assist parents and candidates. In addition, O Cho Dua ward mobilized police, medical , and electricity personnel to be on duty throughout the exam period to ensure the best possible conditions for the candidates.
According to the plan, on May 30th and 31st, students will take the general subjects including Literature, Foreign Language, and Mathematics; on June 1st, they will take the specialized subjects.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the city has arranged 224 examination centers with 5,300 examination rooms. This year, Hanoi has a very large number of students taking the 10th grade entrance exam, and the number of examination centers has also increased significantly compared to last year. Hanoi has also mobilized 17,150 officials, teachers, and staff to participate at the examination centers.
Regarding the direction of the 2026 Hanoi Grade 10 entrance exam, Mr. Ha Xuan Nham, Head of the Secondary Education Department of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, stated: The exam will closely adhere to the required learning outcomes of the 2018 General Education Program, primarily focusing on Grade 9 content. The structure and format of the Hanoi Grade 10 entrance exam will closely follow the sample exam published according to the new General Education Program.
Between June 19th and 22nd, Hanoi is expected to announce the 10th grade exam results on the Department of Education and Training's portal and the city's primary school enrollment portal.
