The incident happened at the beginning of class this morning (May 15). Initial information said that this student was standing on a chair near the railing and slipped and fell to the ground.

Immediately after the incident, the school quickly took the student to Le Van Thinh Hospital (Thu Duc City) for emergency treatment.

Le Van Thinh Hospital conducted a CT scan to fully assess the injuries. Initial findings showed that the student had suffered soft tissue injuries and lumbar spine injuries. Currently, the student's health and mental state continue to be monitored by doctors.

Speaking to VietNamNet, Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Thu Duc City confirmed that the female student of Luong Dinh Cua Secondary School fell from the first floor to the ground. Initial information shows that due to family problems, she was not paying attention and slipped and fell. She is currently receiving medical care at the hospital. Luckily, when she landed, her head was fine but she suffered a spinal injury.

The Department of Education and Training and the school are working together to support the psychological stability of the students in the class, avoiding causing panic. The homeroom teacher immediately reassured the students, hoping that the student in the accident would recover soon.
