In the context of digital transformation being identified as one of the key tasks to improve the quality of education , many preschools have organized workshops on "applying digital transformation in organizing educational activities for children" to concretize the goals of applying technology to teaching and learning.
At Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Hung Ward, over 300 students and parents participated in a workshop on "Applying Digital Transformation in Organizing Educational Activities for Preschool Children." The workshop included various activities such as experiencing shopping at a smart supermarket, reading e-books, riding the metro train, and learning about different modes of transportation.

Preschool children experience shopping at a smart supermarket.
Experiencing shopping at a smart supermarket for the first time with her mother, Hoang Diep Bao Han, a student in Kindergarten 1, was excited to scan the QR code to find out the prices of fruits and vegetables at the produce counter. She said she bought apples, bananas, dragon fruit, tomatoes, and zucchini; after scanning the code and watching the video, she learned that tomatoes are rich in vitamins and fiber and cost 5,000 VND.
Ms. Nguyen Diep Kim Phung, a parent at Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the supermarket shopping activity was organized in a more unique way where children scan QR codes to hear the prices. Through this, children learn how to use money, practice calculations with 50,000 VND, and understand the benefits of each type of food.
Basic activities such as scanning QR codes and reading e-books demonstrate how the application of digital transformation has contributed to creating a modern, safe, and happy educational environment for preschool children through "learning through play" activities.

Preschool children access digital learning materials through QR code scanning activities.
Hong Vi Khoi, a student in Kindergarten Class 2 at Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, shared that she and her teacher scanned QR codes to observe the growth of plants such as starfruit trees, grapevines, and various flowers.
According to Ms. Pham Trung Duong, a kindergarten teacher for 5-6 year olds at Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, e-books do not replace traditional books but make them more accessible to preschool children. Children can view vivid images, listen to dialogue, and develop their language skills.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Lien, Principal of Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, stated that the application of digital transformation in kindergartens plays a crucial role in the care and education of children. The school has equipped teachers with the knowledge and skills to apply technology and digital transformation to build a learning resource library for the ward.
Currently, the online lesson materials provided by teachers in the digital learning resource library contain over 100 lessons. The school has also introduced the Hoa Hung ward's digital learning resource library to parents for collaboration with the school in teaching children at home.
Digital transformation in early childhood education is not only an inevitable trend but also a breakthrough in improving the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating children.
