Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Quynh, Head of Logistics - Engineering (Provincial Military Command) said: "The emulation movement "The Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" is a broad political activity that encourages cadres and employees of the provincial Military Logistics Sector to constantly train, improve their working capacity, and promote a sense of responsibility in each task. Through each stage, the movement has become a guideline for action, contributing to building a regular, exemplary Logistics Sector, successfully completing the task of ensuring logistics in all situations". Accordingly, the emulation movement "The Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" was deployed synchronously and comprehensively by the Provincial Military Command, closely linked with the emulation movement "Determined to Win". With the motto "effective, practical", the whole sector has fully completed the set emulation targets, creating a strong change in awareness, sense of responsibility and action among all logistics cadres and employees.

One of the bright spots is the logistics support for combat readiness tasks and exercises. Over the past 5 years, the Logistics sector has presided over logistics support for 11 provincial and district-level defense area exercises; 175 commune and ward-level defense combat exercises and many other ad hoc exercises and trainings. The entire sector has promptly provided and mobilized over 300 tons of various types of logistics materials to ensure adequate supplies, contributing to the overall success of the exercises, especially in the context of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. The "on-site rear" logistics work of the troops has always been identified by the Provincial Military Command as a key task. With a high sense of responsibility, the Logistics sector has closely followed the professional instructions of superiors, organized to ensure full standards, quantities, and food allowances for subjects according to the regime, and constantly improved and innovated processing methods and nutritional regimes. Production is organized scientifically and reasonably, making the most of the increased land area, barn systems and local resources. As a result, in 5 years (2020-2025), the units harvested nearly 150 tons of vegetables and fruits, more than 33 tons of meat, 27 tons of poultry and over 23 tons of fish. Thanks to that, the quality of soldiers' meals has been significantly improved, with an additional meal level of 5,000-15,000 VND/person/day. The kitchens strictly follow food hygiene and safety procedures, from the selection of ingredients to preliminary processing, preservation and processing; no food poisoning occurs in the entire provincial military. In parallel, the units also invest in building and renovating the system of dining halls and kitchens in a continuous, standardized and spacious direction. Officers and soldiers enjoy a living environment that ensures both material quality and spiritual life.

Along with military supplies, ensuring adequate logistics equipment for drills and training is given special attention, especially in the context of changes in organization and staffing. Since 2024, after the Logistics Department and the Technical Department were merged into the Logistics - Technical Department, the industry has proactively advised on perfecting the organizational structure, arranging working and living places, and a system of regular boards and signs; at the same time, investing in additional equipment, teaching models, feeding tools, and medical supplies to ensure consistency and uniformity. SSCD documents are regularly adjusted and supplemented; at the provincial level alone, 63 documents have been renewed, and at the unit level, 114 documents. The warehouse system has been reviewed and arranged scientifically, convenient for distribution and management. Standards for electricity, water, and living tools at barracks are fully guaranteed according to the regime. During the 2020-2025 period, more than 334 billion VND was invested in building and upgrading 20 barracks of various types.

In addition, the provincial Military Medical Department has performed well the function of ensuring the health of soldiers, taking good care of the combined military-civilian medical work. The rate of healthy soldiers is regularly maintained at over 98.8%. In the past 5 years, periodic health check-ups have been provided for nearly 5,000 officers and soldiers; medical examinations and treatment have been organized for 4,918 soldiers, and health insurance examinations for nearly 62,000 people. During the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Military Medical Department coordinated with local health agencies to set up 6 quarantine facilities, of which 3 were directly operated by the Provincial Military Command. Military service examinations and military recruitment examinations have been carried out strictly, effectively, and absolutely safely. The management of petroleum resources has received special attention from the Provincial Military Command. In the past 5 years (2020-2025), the entire sector has received and distributed over 700,000 liters of gasoline and oil; Strictly manage technical materials and fuel for regular and emergency tasks.

Implementing the emulation movement "Managing and using gasoline safely, economically and effectively", the industry has deployed many initiatives to prevent evaporation and loss, applied closed filling procedures, and periodically checked fuel quality. The result has been saving more than 10 thousand liters of fuel compared to the norm, achieving high efficiency, being commended by the Military Region, especially winning the First Prize of the 2024 Tactical Petroleum Depot Competition. Agencies and units strictly maintain regular regimes, regulations, living habits, discipline training, building a cohesive, democratic and disciplined working environment. Many collectives and individuals have become advanced examples, such as: Military Command of Hai Hau district, Xuan Truong, Nam Dinh city; Infirmary, Petroleum Depot...

In the coming time, the Logistics sector of the Nam Dinh provincial armed forces will continue to promote the emulation movement "Following Uncle Ho's teachings" in conjunction with Resolution No. 1658-NQ/QUTW, Resolution 28-NQ/TW and projects to build the provincial defense zone. The focus is on ensuring 100% of combat readiness logistics materials, organizing well drills at all levels, improving the quality of military medicine, military supplies, barracks, and gasoline. Actively innovating methods of assurance, applying digital transformation, administrative reform, developing a model of concentrated production increase associated with logistics bases in the defense zone. At the same time, strengthening the training of logistics staff, promoting technical innovation initiatives, building a standardized, modern, and comprehensively strong Logistics sector.
