
On the afternoon of October 19, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Autumn Fair - and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Autumn Fair - and members of the Steering Committee inspected the organization of the Fair.
The 2025 Autumn Fair is a national trade promotion event assigned by the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to chair, coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vingroup Corporation, Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEC) and ministries, branches and localities to organize the event throughout the VEC space.
In particular, this is not only a space for trade connection, but also a highlight of a series of economic recovery and development programs after the pandemic, in the context that Vietnam faces many challenges in domestic consumption, export markets and global supply chains.
Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on the implementation of the 2025 Autumn Fair, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that up to now, the construction units of the 2025 Autumn Fair are working with the spirit of "working day and night" with the highest goal of ensuring the set schedule.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien emphasized that from the time of the dispatch directing the organization of the Autumn Fair 2025 to the opening ceremony of the Fair, it was only 1 month. However, the entire system of agencies from the Central to local levels, along with businesses and organizing units have been making great efforts, working day and night to complete the preparations and be ready for the Fair.
The 2025 Autumn Fair with the theme: "Connecting people with production and business" takes place from October 25 to November 4 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center, with a total exhibition area of over 130,000m2, 5 themed zones and over 3,000 booths.
The fair also attracted the participation of 34 provinces and cities; central ministries and branches, along with thousands of enterprises, cooperatives and large corporations of Vietnam. At the same time, it attracted a large number of international partners and enterprises to exhibit, trade and seek cooperation opportunities.
During its duration, the Fair is expected to welcome an average of 500,000 visitors per day, demonstrating the strong appeal of an event of national and regional stature.
At the meeting, Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) reported on the organization of the 2025 Autumn Fair as of October 19.
Regarding the budget for organizing the Fair, Mr. Vu Ba Phu informed that on October 15, the Ministry of Finance sent Document No. 732/TTr-BTC to the Government to supplement the regular expenditure estimates of the state budget of ministries and central agencies and supplement the central budget with targets for localities in 2025 to organize the 2025 Autumn Fair.
On July 18, based on the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, the Government Office sent a request for comments from Government members.
In addition, regarding the overall design, decoration and identification system for the Fair, according to Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Vingroup Corporation/VEC Company has coordinated with the consulting unit to complete the overall design and decoration; design the subdivisions, logos, and general identification system of the Fair and have been approved by the Fair Steering Committee to unify the relevant ministries, branches and localities in the organization and participation work.
“Regarding the enterprises and organizations participating in the Fair, up to now, the enterprises and organizations registered to participate in the Fair have covered the entire exhibition area of the Exhibition Center building; of which, there are about 80 booths of foreign enterprises (mainly machinery, equipment, raw materials for production). The number of industries displayed at the Fair is rich and diverse in the fields of heavy industry, light industry, cultural industry, science and technology, agricultural products and processed foods, trade services, consumer goods,” Mr. Vu Ba Phu stated.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Vu Ba Phu informed about the organization of construction, staging, and overall decoration of the Fair. Accordingly, agencies, organizations, and businesses have started construction since October 17th according to schedule and will ensure completion before October 22nd to hand over to businesses displaying goods for the final rehearsal on October 24th.
Regarding the organization of events during the Fair, according to Mr. Vu Ba Phu, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has agreed and assigned the tasks to units under the Ministry to organize 10 specialized seminars, online export forums with Alibaba, Amazon, and B2B trade conferences for international buyers brought back to the country by Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad.
“Trade offices around the world are still actively inviting purchasing delegations from all over the world to Vietnam to purchase goods at the Fair. Currently, there are 25 international business delegations registered to trade at the Fair,” Mr. Vu Ba Phu emphasized.
Currently, the basic work of organizing the 2025 Autumn Fair is being carried out by ministries, branches, localities and related organizations on schedule, ensuring that the general rehearsal can be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 24, and the Opening Ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on October 25.
