Hustle on historic construction

- During the historic days of August, despite the unfavorable weather, project managers and workers who were constructing the expansion project of the Luong Van Tri monument in Van Quan commune were still busy speeding up the progress of the project.

The relief item has completed 98% of the volume and is being edited and completed by the construction unit.

In 2010, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Luong Van Tri (August 17, 1910 - August 17, 2010), the province inaugurated the Luong Van Tri monument complex on an area of ​​about 1.05 hectares. However, after being put into operation, the project revealed some shortcomings: the complex lacked auxiliary facilities to organize major events; lacked historical document exhibition areas, lacked a green tree system, and a festival hall, etc.

In order to overcome these shortcomings, in 2023, the People's Committee of Van Quan district (formerly) asked for opinions and was allowed by the province to invest in expanding the Luong Van Tri monument area. Accordingly, the project started at the end of 2024 with a construction area of ​​more than 3.8 hectares (old area of ​​about 1.05 hectares, newly recovered area of ​​about 2.75 hectares), with an investment cost of nearly 52 billion VND. The investor is the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the construction completion time is the end of 2025.

After the project was started, up to now, the Van Quan Area Land Fund Development Branch has handed over 2.55/2.75 hectares of land, reaching 100% of the expanded investment area; the remaining 2,000 m2 of resettlement construction area is being cleared by Van Quan commune.

Regarding construction and installation, the contractor has focused all its efforts on implementing the items according to the set schedule. According to the investor's data, after more than 8 months of implementation, the contractor has completed about 70% of the contract volume, in which many main items have been completed at nearly 100%. Currently, the contractor is constructing the memorial house, exhibition house; lighting system; paving self-locking blocks around the lake, planting trees...

Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Deputy General Director of 873 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company (the project contractor) said: In order to ensure the project's progress, the unit has maintained 10 cars, bulldozers, excavators and 50 workers working continuously in 2 shifts, at peak times the unit has mobilized 100 workers to compensate for the progress. The contractor committed to completing the project in November 2025, 1 month shorter than the contract.

Mr. Bui Quoc Khanh, Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: After completing the construction, the project will not only create a space for community cultural activities but also be a "red address" for organizing traditional education , a place for generations to come together to find their roots. Therefore, during the project implementation process, we focus on quality supervision so that the project, when put into use, will ensure sustainability and effectiveness.

Mr. Nguyen Van Sang, Chairman of Van Quan Commune People's Committee shared: Each item built contributes to telling the story of the hero Luong Van Tri more completely. It helps the young generation today and tomorrow better understand the sacrifice and patriotism of comrade Luong Van Tri and the generations of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed part of their blood to protect the Fatherland. Therefore, in carrying out the task of site clearance and community supervision, the commune leaders are focusing on directing the site clearance of the remaining area as soon as possible, contributing to bringing the project to the finish line on time.

The project is taking shape more and more clearly, creating a good impression and honor for the people here. Ms. Ha Thi Lan, a teacher at Khanh Khe Primary and Secondary School, shared: Through research, I learned that the project has many new construction items that are more spacious and beautiful. In particular, the relief is a highlight that makes the image of comrade Luong Van Tri stand out. Thereby, helping people understand more deeply about the people and land of Van Quan, thereby loving and being proud of their homeland more.

The project to expand the Luong Van Tri monument is the gratitude of today's generation to the loyal communist soldier Luong Van Tri, a precious gift to future generations, about a Lang Son rich in revolutionary traditions in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
