- On August 26, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to organize a fund-raising event to support the repair and construction of new houses for households affected by storms and floods in the communes of Huu Lung, Chien Thang, Tan Tri and Nhat Hoa.

Representatives of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) presented funds to support the repair and construction of new houses for households in Tan Tri commune.

Accordingly, 20 households in the above communes are affected and suffered major housing damage due to Typhoon Yagi (September 2024) and households in areas at risk of natural disasters will receive support funds with a total value of nearly 680 million VND. Specifically, depending on the actual damage, households will receive support from 10 to 30 million VND for households repairing houses, 60 to 100 million VND for households building new houses. In this support period, households building new houses will receive 50% of the total support, households repairing houses will receive 100% of the total support.

Representatives of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) presented funds to support the repair and construction of new houses for households in Huu Lung commune.

It is known that on August 27, the Provincial Red Cross Society will continue to coordinate with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to organize the award of funding to support the repair and construction of new houses for 21 households affected by storms in the communes of Cong Son, Tan Doan and Khanh Khe with a total value of 850 million VND.

The provision of funds to support the repair and construction of new houses for households affected by storms and floods demonstrates the concern and support of the provincial Red Cross Society and international organizations in helping people stabilize their lives, work and produce with peace of mind, and gradually overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
