Vietnam Shooting Makes Impressive Start at 2025 Asian Championship

As of August 25, the Vietnamese Shooting team has won 02 Gold Medals (HCV), 02 Silver Medals (HCB) and 04 Bronze Medals (HCĐ) at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship.

Specifically, in the individual events, 2 gold medals went to: Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - 10m portable air rifle for young women and Le Thao Ngoc - 10m portable air rifle for young women mixed.

After winning the gold medal, Nguyen Thi Mai Chi continued to win 01 silver medal in the mixed women's 10m air rifle event. The second silver medal of the Vietnamese Shooting team belonged to the men's 10m air rifle team event (this is a competition in the 19th ASIAD) including athletes: Ngo Huu Vuong - Nguyen Tuan Anh and Ho Ly Thanh Dat.

Shooter Mai Chi won the first gold medal for Vietnamese shooting in the youth group competition at the 2025 Asian tournament.

Meanwhile, 4 bronze medals were awarded in two individual events: Trinh Thu Vinh - 25m women's sport pistol (Olympic competition), Le Thao Ngoc - 10m young women's air rifle; two team events: 10m young women's air rifle, 10m mixed young women's air rifle.

Shooting is a sport in the group of key sports of Vietnamese Sports that is invested towards continental and world arenas. This is considered an important tournament for the Vietnamese Shooting team to continue to concretize the achievement goals as well as the development strategy of the sport in 2025.

Trinh Thu Vinh won bronze medal

The Vietnamese team participated in the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship with 20 shooters, competing in the youth group events and the 2025 Asian Championship. Three talented shooters of Vietnamese Shooting, Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen, and Pham Quang Huy, all participated.

In the following competition days, Vietnamese Shooting still has many opportunities to win more valuable medals because there are still many of our strong events.

According to the schedule, the tournament will end on August 30. Athletes who have completed their competition will return home on August 26, 27 and 30.
