Issue alert number III on Len River, ready to deploy dike protection plan

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 5:00 p.m. on August 26, in Official Dispatch No. 35, the Thanh Hoa Province Civil Defense Command issued a third alert on the Len River.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes: Ha Trung, Ha Long, Tong Son, Hoat Giang, Linh Toai, Trieu Loc, Dong Thanh, Hoa Loc, Van Loc, Nga Thang, Nga Son, Ba Dinh, Nga An, Tan Tien.

According to flood warning bulletin on Len River No. DBLU-38/15h30/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of Thanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 5:00 p.m. on August 26, the water level on Len River at Len hydrological station was +5.55m (0.45m below alarm level III).

It is forecasted that the downstream water level on the Len River at the Len hydrological station is likely to reach alarm level III (+6m) at 8-10pm on August 26.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a third alert on the Len River at the Len hydrological station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above communes to continue to deploy dike patrols and protection according to the alert level. Organize inspections, reviews and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key weak dike points and culverts across the dike in the area. Proactively deploy plans to evacuate people living in the riverbank area.

Organize a serious 24/7 duty, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Command and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
