The World Wushu Federation will compete in the following weight categories at this year's World Championship: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 100kg, and over 100kg (men) and 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, and 75kg for women. The Taolu event will feature a full range of medals for individuals, men, and women according to regulations, as well as a sparring event.
At the last world championship held in 2023, the Vietnamese wushu team finished second overall with 5 gold medals. The champion at that time was the Chinese team (15 gold medals).
