According to the report at the conference, in the first quarter of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity was focused on and implemented synchronously and comprehensively by Party committees, units and localities and achieved important results, especially improving the effectiveness of prevention, detection and handling solutions. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Prevention and Combating Corruption, Waste and Negativity led and directed Party committees, units and localities to focus on developing and implementing programs and plans for the work of preventing and combating corruption in 2025; organizing the dissemination and timely and complete implementation of regulations of the Central Government and the province on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Attention was paid to information, propaganda, dissemination and education on preventing and combating corruption and negativity; inspection, examination and supervision of prevention and combating corruption and negativity were focused; thereby promptly detecting, correcting, overcoming limitations and shortcomings and reviewing and strictly handling violations. The authorities closely and regularly coordinate in detecting, investigating, prosecuting and trying corruption and negative cases, especially cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Waste and Negative Affairs. Attention is paid to the prevention and fight against corruption and negative affairs in the non-state sector. The Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, press and media agencies and the people have promoted their roles and responsibilities in monitoring and social criticism of the prevention and fight against corruption, waste and negative affairs in the province.

Regarding the results of detecting and handling corruption and negativity, the entire Inspection sector 37 administrative inspections have been carried out. at 78 units; 21 investigations at 30 units have been completed and concluded. Through inspections, financial violations were discovered at 23 units, and recommendations were made to pay the State budget more than 20 billion VND. More than 18 billion VND has been recovered and paid to the State budget; responsibilities of 07 groups and 47 individuals have been reviewed. The two-level Investigation Police Agency handled and investigated 21 cases/42 defendants; the old number was 18 cases/35 defendants; 02 new cases/07 defendants were prosecuted; 01 case was re-investigated; 01 case was completed and prosecution was proposed; 02 cases/03 defendants were temporarily suspended; 08 cases/14 defendants remain. The two-level People's Procuracy handled 13 cases/28 defendants; received the verdict and returned the file for additional investigation of 01 case/02 defendants; 04 cases/07 defendants have been prosecuted; currently 09 cases/21 defendants remain. The two-level People's Court has accepted 12 cases/36 defendants; the old number is 07 cases/27 defendants; the new number is 04 cases/07 defendants, received 01 case/02 defendants transferred from another place; tried 03 cases/11 defendants; returned the case file for additional investigation of 01 case/02 defendants; have not tried 08 cases/23 defendants. From the above results, it can be seen that the fight against corruption and negativity in Gia Lai province is increasingly being implemented drastically and synchronously.

At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the achieved results; at the same time, analyzing and clarifying the causes of the remaining shortcomings and limitations in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity and proposing solutions to overcome them in the coming time. In particular, focusing on clarifying some units and localities that still have financial and property violations, causing loss and waste of the budget; the rate of recovery of damaged and misappropriated assets in corruption and economic cases, although increased compared to 2024, is still low.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, comrade Ho Van Nien requested that in the coming time, Party committees, agencies, units and localities continue to promptly and effectively direct the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and tasks of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, in conjunction with the good implementation of political tasks in the area. In particular, focusing on implementing tasks on socio-economic development, ensuring security, politics, social order and safety, and ensuring social security. Determined to overcome the situation of avoiding and shirking responsibility, causing trouble for people and businesses by agencies, units and localities. Regarding the reorganization of the apparatus and the arrangement of administrative units at all levels, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that agencies, units and localities strengthen the propaganda work on the policies of the Party and State on streamlining the apparatus, merging and dissolving agencies and administrative units at all levels, namely merging into provinces, dissolving districts and merging into communes; thereby, creating consensus, support and high unity among all Party members and the People. At the same time, continue to effectively carry out the tasks according to the set plan; strictly prohibit and strictly handle cases of taking advantage of the arrangement and merger for lobbying, corruption and negativity; the arrangement must be carried out in a democratic, objective and transparent manner.

The Party Committee of the Commission and agencies and units strictly implement the Conclusions of the Government Inspectorate and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Steering Committee for the prevention and combat of corruption, waste and negativity of the province; promptly implement the contents according to the direction of the Central Inspection Committee; review long-standing cases, involving many people, related to ethnic minorities to handle them thoroughly and the professional work of agencies, units and localities must be completed before May 30, 2025. The Party Committee of the Commission coordinates with the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committees of the District Party Committees to guide the development and completion of the Project on the arrangement and merger of commune-level administrative units in terms of specific functions and tasks, organization of the apparatus, payrolls, staff arrangement, working headquarters and asset handling.

Along with that, the prosecution agencies and competent authorities continue to effectively implement the coordination mechanism to detect and handle corruption in the process of inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments. Speed ​​up the progress of investigation, prosecution and trial of corruption, waste, economic and negative cases and increase the rate of recovery of misappropriated assets in cases. In particular, strengthen inter-sectoral coordination in the trial of cases to create high unity in the handling policies and viewpoints; minimize the prolongation and return of case files, creating negative public opinion among the people. The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee continues to perform well the task of researching, advising and proposing to the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to lead and direct the timely, comprehensive and effective implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative acts in the whole province./.
