5th and 6th basic Mapinfor and Qgis software training conference in 2025

Implementing the plan to train and improve professional capacity for civil servants and public employees, from September 15 to 19, 2025, Son La Provincial Forest Protection Department organized the fifth and sixth basic training conference on using Mapinfor and Qgis software, with the participation of 38 new trainees from departments and units under the Department. The organization of consecutive training courses demonstrates the attention and close direction of the Department's leaders in promoting the application of science and technology, associated with the requirements of digital transformation in the forestry sector.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Tuan, Head of the Forestry Sub-Department, delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

Mapinfor and Qgis software are important tools in collecting, processing, analyzing and managing spatial data, directly contributing to forest management, protection and development. At the conference, students were introduced, practiced and mastered: Basic features and standard operations on the software; Methods of exploiting and processing digital map data for professional work; How to apply software to area management, monitoring forest developments, forest fire prevention and fighting and other tasks.

Through training, trainees will gradually improve their qualifications and confidently apply the software to their actual work, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management of forestry, meeting the requirements of innovation in the current period.
